I'm in DIII. I'm getting a DII PF that I pulled down. He has a huge WE and I want to red shirt him.

1. Are pull downs more likely to balk at being red shirted than DIII's?

2. If he drops in WE, does he go back up immediately if I take the red shirt off?

3. Is there a staregy for getting him to take the red shirt if I didn't inform him during recruitment?

I have limited experience with redshirts not accepting it, so take this for what it's worth:

1. Not in my experience. It's all about depth at the position from what I've seen.

2. Mine have always gone back after unredshirting him.

3. No strategy. Just depth and luck, in my experience.

All correct ... about the only thing to add is that if you get a guy who your ***'t tells you in evals is a team player, etc. etc. that's a guy who's more likely to be OK with the RS.

The best strategy for redshirting in my experience is to be stacked at the spot he is listed at playing. As others have said.
