I'm noticing large numbers of (+) plays from 1b and increased errors for bad glove LF.

Thoughts on where to put the 60/65/45/50 player?

LF

LF, no question. It would be a waste of fielding skills to put that guy at 1B.

He's a terrible LF, esp. in view of the changes over the last few months. 1B.

He's above average.

Says the guy with three seasons to his credit. You have a lot to learn.

Unless you can find someone with better glove/range that's nearly as good offensively as your best 1B option, I would stick him in LF

It ultimately depends on what else you have on your team. I don't know how anyone could possibly consider that a terrible LF. It's not. I'd assume he's above league averages in everything but throwing power, which isn't the end of the world either.

You have to use some real baseball knowledge as well. A terrible COF isn't gonna ruin your team just because they're not going to get many opportunities to mess up. I think the guy you mentioned would end up with like a .970 fielding pct and very little +/- plays.

Unfortunately for strikeout26 real baseball knowledge doesn't count for too much here. Reason is nearly all of us have a good knowledge of baseball stats, which certainly does matter here. The winners usually figure out how this game differs from real baseball and take advantage of that knowledge. If you're thinking you can be good right away, that almost never happens.

I have held my own so far in this game. This is very much like real baseball. My job depends on stats, so I am a huge sabermetrician. If I dont put up the numbers in real baseball, I will be back home finishing my degree.
