Is it just me or has any one notice that when a team plays slow down against uptempo, the score is always a low scoring game, which means slow down seems to have the favor in the game and offsets the uptempo pace. I've really notice this for awhile already. This is BS!!!

Tempos do not mean that one team is pushing the ball up court while the other one is walking (see other thread).

It only means that the slowdown team waits until late in the shot clock to put up a shot, while the team that plays uptempo puts it up very early in the shot clock, with tempo meaning that it makes very clear sense why it works the way that you state.

Ya you need to play press and fast break to have more a true fast paced game. Although it still does not guarantee it.

I would say that if they get rid of the fast break offense that would be the best. Make it just a secondary thing within fast paced. That way fast paced would actually mean which you speak of moving the ball fast and trying to keep the game moving along.
