If my FA's have this message for me...

Let's be honest, I'll play for whoever shows me the money

Does that mean I'm just in a bidding war with everybody else? I assume it means they rejected an offer last season and I DO NOT have first chance to sign them. Is that correct?

No, you'll have first chance to sign them before they go full FA.

If the player has no intention of signing, you'll usually get a message like, "Unless you really surprise me, I'm filing for free agency" or "I'm filing for free agency no matter what".
