even more cool is he was on the 72 Olympic team. the stories he must have. good luck with the project.

The 72 olympics is an area where he will talk for hours. Its kinda cool that as a group they decided that they would not accept that silve medal. To this day he has yet to accept it. Ed was telling me about one of the other player on the 72 team who placed it in his will that no living memeber of his family could ever claim the medal. They won the gold and that is all they will accept.

I remember Ratliff well.. Played at Long Beach State if I remember. Would love to know more about his recruiting.. Was one of Tark's first big name recruits... He also played high school ball with Dwight "Bo" Lamar who I remember as perhaps the best outside shooter ever..

Very cool stuff, don't worry about the bio, you didn't come in here trying to sell yourself or a ranking system / site. Good Luck with the Book.

thanks guys. I was researching late last night and I came acrossed and interview Ed did with a local radio show where he lives in California. Thought some of you might enjoy the listen. I get the chance to talk with Ed alot and he is a genuine nice guy. So if you wanna listen I'm gonna post the link. I have no idea who is doing the interview but the storys Ed gives are really great. I would encourage everyone to give it a listen. It is about 40 mins long.

Pink, just so you know in the interview he tells the recruiting story about how Tark landed him. Ed even told Tark he could get his teammate at Columbus East Dwight 'Bo' Lamar to come with him to LBS. Tark didn't want Bo because he thought Ed was just bringing a freind. Tark had no clue Bo would go on to lead the Nation in scoring a Southest Louisiana.
