This FR D3 player just lit my team up for 55 points while getting double teamed by 2 very good D3 defenders

Fluke game not sure. That frosh sg has a great 1 assist , 69 turnovers on the year. (12 in one game)

Upsets do happen and the CS cannot take the time to review individual games. We do appreciate you sharing your concerns.

Actually, I look forward to seeing any real explanations for this as this situation if multiplied over many games would ruin the game for most.

Overall on the season, you were one of the few it worked on it looks like. Look at his ugly shooting percentage and TO rate for the season. Frankly, I don't get the strategy. I mean, he is 17 - 4, but I woudl think he woudl be better off if he spread the Distro around a bit. . ..

That is disturbing. I figured there had to be an explanation, but I cannot find one. You played a + defense, most of his shots were from the perimeter, your guards had better speed, and Rockey isn't even that great of a player. That result is beyond ridiculous.

That's a bit ridiculous...

Yea, pretty much what I thought. Its not like I didnt know it was coming. My guards I would say are considerably better and have pretty good spd/ath and D. Pretty sad state of affairs if that wins games....

It was just a fluke game, he shoots under 40% for the season. If you play him again odds are he will have a terrible game. But yea this player shouldn't even be shooting 38% with the amount of shots he takes, he's not even that good of a D3 player, both of my SGs and starting SF are way better than him and I wouldn't consider this strategy.

In hindsight I would say you erred in only going +1. Considering the only way he could beat you is his 2 players knocking down 3s I would have started the game at +3.

im sure this isn't the answer you are looking for... but the odds of him going 20 of 36 at 35% per fga is half a percent. at 30% fga it is a twelfth a percent.

i could certainly see an argument that his fg% should have been less than 30. i didn't check the pbp but i would guess most of the 9 points made on fast breaks by the team were by that player, and those are probably a lot higher % than 30, so that probably keep the 30% mark fairly reasonable for a low end.

edit: ok maybe 30% is generous. i am not saying this is not a very unusual case but i don't know how extreme it is.. or if its THAT much worse than a team going 20-36 over a period of time which does not seem all that remarkable.
