A little recruiting question... Topic

for anybody out there. Is spending money in recruiting all the same? Do you see more result from spending $10.5 k all in one cycle over three or from 3.5 k in each of the three cycles?

I think it's about the same. The only advantage to spending in one cycle is that it makes it more difficult for other coaches to lure the same player

I believe that there is a SLIGHT advantage to spending money earlier in the process.

The disadvantage of course is the maybe you can sign someone for $3,000 that you spent 10,000 on.

I don't necessarily just mean early in the process. Say you're in a battle for a guy and you run into the same scenario. Would you think there would be any more advantage for one coach over the other if each played out one of the two situations (everything else being equal).

Putting in all at once would give you an advantage due to the considering credit, which likely multiplies the effort slightly.

What about the player ratings? What is the cap, 100? I can't find a poit gaurd who has better ball handling skills than a 51. Is there is anything higher out there for a incoming freshmen?

sflynn1, your probably looking at D3 recruits. When in D3 your not going to have the same caliber of recruit as you will at D1.
