Moving from d-2 to d-1 Topic

What exactly is the criteria to make the move from d-2 to d-1?
When do the jobs become listed?

People say different things, but its 2-4 years of solid teams usually making back 2 back NT from what I have seen posted on here.

Personally if I were you I would move up in D2 first and try to do a 4 year rebuilding where you have all your players in so you get a better hang of the game and how to recruit, if you ever do like me haha, takes a while to learn the art of recruiting the right players.

Highly variable. Jobs are listed after the season is over. A day or so after the NT championship game.

Rough rough guess is 2 NT appearances at D2. But maybe a NT and a PT would do it. If you had 6-8 seasons of D2 and got back to back PTs you might be able to get a D- D1 job.

My guess is four years isn't enough. Every time I've passed through D2 I've been there at least six or seven seasons. I think three NT appearances usually does the trick.

I picked up a rebuilding project at d2 after only a season in d3. After making 4 straight nts (the first was a fluke), I was only qualified for longshots.

Don't forget that you need an A+ loyalty to get a d1 job
