hey joco... you might want to mention which conference it is ;) also, what do you mean #5? im pretty sure its at least 15 seasons since the GLV has finished out of the top 3! there was that one a couple seasons back where we started really ******, like 8th, but i am almost positive we ended 3rd.
anyway, anybody looking for a great learning experience, come join us! with 3 sims, our conf rpi this season was good for tied 6th on mrpolo's rpi list. we have ended #1 most of the seasons in the last 15-20 (although the cal CAA certainly gives us a run for our money), and have had some very special seasons - 3 one seeds, the top 3 teams by rpi, a CT title rematch for the national title, for a few examples.
if you REALLY want a challenge, come pick up st. joes! it wasn't too long ago the other 5 teams in the division all made the 2nd round, and not long before that st. joes looked up at their conference schedule and saw 7 of 16 games against the top 4 rpi teams (just before conf play started). as a side bonus, i offer roughly unlimited advice and guidance to any GLV coach who wants it. the rest of the coaches are really a great bunch too, and i'm sure they would help any new coach if they had the opportunity. it is a pretty ideal place for a young ambitious coach to cut their teeth! at least, it was for me :)
