I think adding a World Baseball Classic would be pretty cool. Spring Training is too long and boring as it is now. It could be cut to 10 games and the other 10 "days" could be used for a WBC.

My idea would be to have the sim pick teams for the countries that have enough players in the world to fill a 25 man roster after the off-season, and then send out messages to each owner regarding their players. Owners would be allowed to choose whether their players would play or not with a ratings bump for some players (Those on teams who do well or those who do well themselves in the tournament) to be weighed against fatigue/injuries possibilities (Injuries and Fatigue would both happen in the WBC) when making a decision. After the owners have decided which players will play, the teams with a 25 man roster will be put in the bracket and the WBC played out over the first 10 days following the off-season (So ML players who play in the WBC can be rested in spring training).

It would add some more excitement to the game and i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to implement.

i think it's a nice idea, but from my experience they are reluctant to add things like this into the games here. I would guess they have to balance their time adding in and fixing more direct aspects of the game.

Unfortunately, the time spent adding in something like this wouldn't generate so much more $$ coming in.

I'd hope for an Arizona Fall League for prospects during the playoffs first, but this could be interesting....
