Pitching Staff Advice Topic

So, I have a really good pitching staff for my Nashville franchise in The Show II. I was hoping to get some opinions on what the best strategy would be. This is the basic setup of the staff

#1 Joe Rogers
#2 Vince Lee
#3 Preston Towers
#4 Tony Martinez
#5 Johnny Mailman
Closer - Albert Pescado
Setup A - Jorge Olivares
Setup B - Chad Greenwood
- Socks Dunwoody
- Junior Velandia
LR A - Cristobal Caballero
LR B - Mark Perez
Mop - Eric Bigbie (if I go 13 pitching staff like I usually do)

so that would be the traditional setup
But I'm not sure that makes the best use of my 6 exceptional guys (starters 1-4, closer, setup A.)
Any suggestions? Put Pescado and Olivares as Setup A's without a closer and make em available in the 7th?
Go with a 4 man rotation (when Martinez can) and limit their pitch count?
Other ideas?

(On a side note, any insight into why Olivares got knocked around last season would be helpful. He started as a traditional closer, then I moved him to setup A without a closer. He still somehow managed to lose 16 games with those ratings...)

This, plus elevate Perez to a 3rd SuA, in the hopes that the front 6 plus Perez (I value P1-P5 less than anyone else on this site) will pitch most of your innings.

If you have $1.5M you're not doing anything with, you might be able to find an FA who is a very good pitcher per-inning with DUR 75, ST 13 to be a 10 pitches, 60 IP, 9th inning only closer. Sometimes those guys go cheap because of the low ST. That would allow you to pick up 60 9th innings and make it so that many close games you only pitch one of your SuA, instead of 2. If you find such a guy you can dispense with Greenwood, who's nothing special.

Even devaluing his pitch ratings, that y split makes it hard for me to want to put him in the same tier as olivares and pescsdo...And greenwood is only 22 and still improving, so I think he's a little more valuable than you give him credit for. But I am leaning towards the two setup A setup

But I do have some cash, I'll see what's available. Probably nothing though as pitching is a little scarce in this league I feel...

Greenwood might still have a point or two to grow in the key ratings-- I didn't notice that.

go with 12 pitchers, that extra PH on the bench will be more valuable than the 13th pitcher
