Im just about into conf play in my first season in DIII. What type of RPI do you typically need to get into the post-season (outside of conf champs?). I am assuming with 32 automatic bids and 32 at large you would want to be in top 50ish?

Top 60 means you have a shot. Top 50 would ALMOST guarantee it. Being in the 50's and 60's means you have to hope not many 100 RPI teams win their conference tournies.

In DIII you better be under 45RPI to feel safe. Anything higher than that is up to the gods.

But dont forget the PIT which takes top 85 RPI or so.

Thanks for the quick response guys. Im sitting with an RPI of 81, so looks like I have some work to do. My schedule is a little weak though so I guess it will be tough this year.
