I need some how to advice Topic

I have a DII SF that is 70+ LP and Per. I would really like to be able to post him up against certain SF's and have him steo outside more often against others. Any advice?

Go to the player distro and set him to +1/+2 for outside shots and then -1/-2 for more post play that game. Be careful though I would only really go with -1/+1 and see how that goes first.

With his high athleticism, and low speed/bh combo I'd be more likely to set him to -1 so that most of his shots come from in the paint. Although I'm not 100% sure how it works for a SF, meaning I'm not sure if it's simmed as them getting the ball on the perimeter and driving when they take 2 point shots or if they post up like big men when you set them to a - setting.

Thanks, schroedess. I do that some, and it does help a little, but it seems to make a difference in 3's and not much else. He still shoots mid range and outside shots more often than I want. Any ideas on either making him post up or drive to the hole? Either would work. This guy would kill the undersized DII SF's if I can find a way! (LOL)

kmasonbx...Yeah, I wish he were a little faster. His 3 point shot is there but I see him as a spot up shooter. With both of you giving the same basic advice I'm going to try -2. I've used -1 but maybe -2 will make him post more often. Thanks again to both of you.

Ya HD is not that in depth to where you can design the plays. I understand what your saying though now with -1 just meaning he will take less 3pts and more mid-range shots.

Don't forget that height/weight are strictly cosmetic when it comes to gameplay. If your guy is being guarded by a significantly shorter player, it won't necessarily benefit to try to "post him up".

Ya the height and weight are already figured into the ratings he has.

Thats my old D2 team! I would set him to 0 and forget about it. Not enough variance to bother changing it from game to game. He will be around 45% from 3 regardless and I will take that any day of the week!

Yeah, I know the height/weight are already figured into the ratings. The reason this is a minor issue is because of the big difference in DII SF's. We all know that a lot of DII coaches play SG's at SF because of their perimeter game. They normally have very low shot blocking ratings but good speed. These are the players I want my guy to post up. Then you have some (fewer) coaches that play more physical SF's or even play PF at the position. These guys are usually pretty slow, even slower than my SF, and I would like to see him step out on them. I'm probably trying to do something that this game isn't built to do, but I can still try! (LOL) Thanks to everyone for their input!

porkpower...Thanks, you me with a good ball team. I've always ran the motion but have wanted to try the triangle for a while and this gave me the chance!
