I received an email telling me I have a player with a torn rotator cuff...be best not to play him, 60% blah, blah, blah....will I get an email telling me to play him he's cleared medically?? Leading scorer at the time...would like to get him back in the game

No you will not get a followup email. You need to put him on Rest and take him out of your depth chart. Keep monitoring him until he gets above 80% then ease him back in slowly. Maybe bring him back at 3rd on the chart, then 2nd, etc. He should improve about 5 health points per day so he will be out a few games at least.

A players Health % is located at the bottom of his player card, it is that bar that goes from red to green.

HD is a little different than HBD, etc. When you're ready to put your guy back into the line-up you can, but if he isn't healthy enough you're taking a chance on getting him hurt even more. The more he's hurt, the more his game will suffer and the bigger chance you're taking on getting him hurt again. I agree with Weena. I'll usually keep a hurt player out until he's at least 80% and then ease him back in...
