Anyone care to comment if you feel if Hoops Dynasty is better than Gridiron Dynasty and why? What are the major differences? Which takes the least amount of time?

I played both when a started at WIS, but eventually dropped my GD teams. Personally, I found HD to be more fun, although I did like GD and had some success at it. What I liked least about GD was that the top teams were even more dominant than the top teams in HD, making it very hard to work your way up to the upper echelon on the game. The fun eventually fades when the same handful of coaches are winning every title.

Regarding time, I found HD to be less time-consuming, mostly because you just have fewer players to deal with and recruit. There also seemed to be more gameplanning stuff to deal with in GD.

All that said, it could be different now since I haven't played GD in a few years.

Ya GD is way more time consuming. I wasn't even that good at GD and it took up a lot more time than HD does. I can game plan for 3 teams in about 15 mins, where as it would take 2x as long to do that I felt in GD for 1 team.

One other thing like mniven said recruiting for GD is a lot harder since you only have 12 total guys over 4 years to recruit here in HD where as GD you have 12+ guys a year to recruit.

Oh and also, if you really love basketball go with HD but if you really love football go with GD. Either game will be great for you if you love the game. Don't worry about the time put into it, if you really like it then the time will be worth it, as long as you have the free time.

Either way make sure you look at the beginner guide for HD that is posted in this forum and the starter guide for GD in their forum as they just put up a guide for new users. You can kinda get a feel for the depth of both that way.

Asking this question in the HD forum the answer are obviously goig to lean towards HD. Prob best to act this question in a general forum where both users will be.

He probably wants the HD users posts cause he has played two seasons in GD now that I see. Most of us have played a season or two over in GD so we have at least our take on it.

I love college football more than any sport, but HD is better because GD teams will just, run, run, and run somemore to dominate in that game. It's too unrealistic. You can stack up on the run, and still get ran over. There is absolutely no strategy to it.
