A little help...... Topic

I'm new to HD and like it very much. I feel like by reading the message boards I've started to grasp a little of the game. I know I recruited badly my first season and mediocre (I hope) my second. Any recruiting tips anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated (in fact I would appreciate help on any HD topic). I run a Motion offense and zone defense, and I like to play uptempo. If anyone would like to help me on the message boards or sitemail me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Not bad, but you need more ath/reb at the pf/center spot. Kyle has good reb, but horrible ath/speed. Donald has good ath/speed, but horride reb. Try to combine the 2 and find someone with like 35-45 ath and like 48+ reb. That SF is a solid div III sf. Just continue to look for div II recruits and pull some down if local, or be patient.

Also, everyone has there own thoughts on this, but I feel def/lp/per are pretty over rated in div III. If you are going to give up some cores, I'd give up per for ath/speed/bh/passing on guards, or def/lp for ath/reb on a big. I'd also give up some bh/passing/def/sb on a sf for ath/speed/reb and at least 1 of per/lp, but both if I can get them. In div III you won't ever have a perfect player, so its all about mixing up the best type of players. If you jack up 3s (I don't) then you will value per over passing, but still under bh. Everything just depends on your style, so there is no right or wrong way other then always get the most ath/speed you can.

Thanks, I definitely undervalued ATH for my posts. I was so happy that Johnston was over 50 in REB, BLK and LP that I overlooked his very low ATH and DEF.

THe way I woudl put it is: Most operation in the game you could consider either ATH, SPD or both plus another rating. So by getting ATH and speed you get the most bang for your buck as long as the rest aren't pitiful.

Dobbs (the SF) is only one I was patient enough to have drop down to me.

If he had had high potential in ATH< you might have been able to get away with it and take the risk, but anything less than high potential there, with that starting point, and its not worth it.
