Has anyone come to a conclusion as to the relative values of scouting trip vs. home visit vs campus visit? Does one CV = 3 scouting trips? Does one CV = 1.5 HV?

Scouting trips have significantly less value then you theorize in this post.

I don't think anyone really knows the answer, although my rough guess would be that its more like 6 sv = 2 hv = 1 cv.

It's very hard to compare, like pears and tangelos. Or kiwi and grapefruit.

Scouting trips have better value until recruits consider you because hv and cv have no value at all until that happens. Then, hv and cv are much more useful and scouting would only have value if you were battling another team who also just used scouting trips (which isn't going to happen).

Bottom line: use scouting trips until the recruit is considering you. Then use campus and home visits as you can afford them. Or forget both and use booster gifts and have a nice plum and strawberry snack.

is there widespread agreement that this is the case ?

Are we just talking about pulldowns that havent been pulled down yet? or what?

Ol' D, he's really talking about DII/DIII, where a lot of time kids won't accept your visits at first.

You also are drastically overvaluing Evals.

Other then being used for pulldowns or getting a recruit to accept your Cv/Hv's they are worth very little.
