I am trying to get a DIII guy...he is already considering another team, who is a B prestige and I am B-...normally I wouldn't get into a battle but he has 4 spots to fill and is being considered by 9 players...so I am guessing he used the "carpet bomb" theory and hoping that he didn't spend much $ on the guy I want. Thoughts? Also should I just use HV's? or does ST's work just as good?

First off, use home visits over scouting trips on players that are ready to be recruited by you (as this player is), I definitely think you get more bang for your buck with them but not as much as campus visits. The difference in your prestiges are likely small so don't worry much about that. So just more of a decision based on how far away you are, how much he likely has for recruiting vs. yourself and if this player's upside is truly worth battling over as opposed to making single calls to a bunch of DII players who may drop in a few sessions.
