I have a good fielding SS in Francisco Frias but also have another guy who can play a pretty good SS in George Anderson. Right now i have G. Anderson playing Center, while Frias plays against righties at short. Would it be better to always play anderson and get a guy who can hit some in Center with still pretty good glove. Or is that little advantages in fielding good to keep it the way i have it.

Alright i think i didn't do that right.

Try this...

George Anderson

Francisco Frias

But I would expect you to mess that up...

My bad

To give you the best answer, it would be helpful to see the CF alternative, because it's going to depend a lot on how much better your new CF bat would be compared to Frias.

I would think Anderson's highest value by far is playing SS. His bat seems pretty good at SS, and kind of marginal in CF.

If both are going to play, I'd prefer Anderson at SS and Frias in CF, the reasoning being that Frias' range is better.

But yeah, Frias is a bench guy and Anderson should be the SS.

Anderson is a perfectly good ML SS.

Frias is a great bench player (def. replacement?).

You should be able to find a better bat to play a passable CF.

I'd want Frias as a backup if at all possible, but if I'm starting him, I'd start him at SS over Anderson because he's got higher Fielding/AA that's going to get less errors. I would imagine that the + plays will be the same for the two no matter which position they end up, but I haven't done research on that.

They are pretty close versus rhp. I would leave it how you have it, playing Frias over Anderson vs righties. If you can get a better hitter for CF, I would.

Anderson will go on to coach teams to WS victories in each league, so you might want to hang on to him.

Is your organizational philosophy to not attempt any stolen bases?

Mine is. My teams get less than 10 per season.

Being in the league with jferg its funny.. He has 0 SBs every year and Madness franchise has 500+ sbs the last couple seasons.. They have exact opposite philosophies, and both does well in their own way.
