Just curious.........has anyone taken over a very poor Div I or II program and actually have any success pulling up a player? I am sure you have had success pulling them up but I mean has the player ever produced well for you.

You don't want to do this. D1 players are better than D2 players.

I did sign a senior D2 transfer just to save my extra cash my first year at D1, but that is it.

I know sometimes at D1 the AD will not let the guy sign and tell you to get someone better if they are too far below your level.

I know this is something you probably wouldn't want to do. I am thinking outside the box here. Lets say you took over a Very low prestige program in Div. II...........You probably can't compete with other schools for the elite players in your state, so you start looking and you see that the TOP Rated Div>III players are just as good as the Div>II players you are looking at. Maybe just maybe a Top Div.III player would be better.

I'm doing it. I see a 425 rated guy who I'd love to sign on my div II A+ prestige team. He only has a 5 dura, and all the non important areas are low as well. He has 40+ in ath/speed/def/bh/passing/per as well, and 7 high potential areas (FT shooting as well.)


With potential I think you can reach down sometimes. If I wanted, I could probably sign him for under 500 bucks.

A lot of the strategies that are commonly used in this game today were found out by guys who think like you, out of the box. Nothing wrong with taking your own path. Good luck.
