I believe a DevChat noted that a 5th pitch in the 20s can be effective, on the sliding "more pitches = better, as long as they're not awful" scale
A pitch in the 20s is awful.

So, if a pitcher is going to drop a bad pitch, is it still possible that it will happen after a couple of pro years and is there a specific time in the season that it would happen?
