How is Home Court Advantage decided? Is it only over the course of the year? Is it based on 2 years or...?

What are the limits on HCA for D2?

199-32 in 20 seasons should not be a C in my mind. Including a 16-0 home record since I took over last season. Also it seems weird that HCA would reset every season at D2?

Also, the school has had 18 of 20 seasons as Conference Champs and 8 Conference Tourney Champs. By the way this is Queens I am talking about.

HCA does not reset to any specific value every year. It is slightly dependent on year to year results but weighs the current year much more at lower levels then at d1 but, just like prestige, has a baseline value that dictates it but has the ability to float more dependent of the baseline then prestige does.

Also, to address part of what schro is saying, HCA is set up so that the highest HCA's are only in DI. I think B+ is the absolute highest you can get to in DII, and that's pretty rare.

And it's based on recent history along with this season's results (not home results, total results).

According to an answer that I had gotten from CS, the HCA that is given to start the season only depends on the ONE previous season, and the baseline HCA. I found that to be really dumb.

I believe hca will generally drop about 1/3 of a grade between seasons in d2 ex. B- to a C+ each year. I have never had a hca over B- in d2, but have seen a B. I believe it will drop according to conf. prestige.

Conference prestige has 0 effect on anything in d2/3.
