How limiting is a 16 durability? The guy projects to be a 90 stamina pitcher, but I doubt he will pitch like one with that low a durability. How much can I expect to get from this guy each start and still have him rested and ready to pitch every fifth day?

Also, how many innings could I expect from a guy with 60 stamina and 20 durability? How would he compare to the 90/16 guy?

Thanks.

16/90 is a SP, but he will probably only be able to start every 6th day or so, basically a spot starter. But he should be able to pitch deep into most games, thus giving your bullpen a rest on days when he starts. I had a guy with 14 DUR and mid 80's STA. I used him in LR and occasional SP. He was effective that way.

If you lower his pitch count, he can pitch every fifth day. But he does offer the flexibility to throw some extra pitches if you NEED to rest your bullpen.

I have a 15/92 who gave me 184 innings this past season. I used him as a reliever in the beginning of the year, but I switched him to starter and liked that better. I put him on no pitch count and a pull rating of 3. He only started 22 games (after appearing in 10 as a reliever), but had 10 complete games.

What can I expect out of a 2/75 guy? He has 80+ control, 70+ splits so I was thinking he would make a good bullpen guy, but I have no clue how many innings I might see out of him.

With a 2 Durability, He will take forever to bounce back if his fatigue level gets low. The key is to keep his pitchccount low so his fatigue doesn't drop too far.

I'd keep him at 15/15 and he should be OK.

Might be able to get 40IP out of him this way. Otherwise, you start him and he sits for a month

or he could give you 80 pitches or so once in a blue moon as a spot starter and probably get a similar amount of IP out of him...

pick your poision...i usually choose the spot starter role for guys like this...especially if they're of good quality

I have an 85 STA/16 DUR SP that gives me about 180 IP per year.

High Stamina, low durability guys (80STA/15DUR) are not that different in practice from the low stamina, high durability guys (55STA/30DUR). Both can be used as a starter if you limit their pitch counts, but they will both top out between 150 and 170 innings per year.
