I don't have any schollys open leading into recruiting in Phelan, but wouldn't mind cutting someone and trying to sign a freshmen. Can I recruit and when he starts considering me, rescind the other guys scholly? Or will he not consider me because I'm full w/o a scholly?

Anybody will consider you without offering them a schollie it's just harder. It doesn't matter if you have a full roster or not, the recruiting engine doesn't know that. Just remember, once signings start, you can no longer rescind.

No, they will be positive in emails, but with no open ships they will stay undecided until you cut someone.

I thought once recruiting began, you could not cut anyone.

Only when signings start. You can still cut during the 1st 2 days of recruiting.
