Well, there are a lot of variables that the slowdown affects. If a team struggles with turnovers or gives up a lot of Offensive Rebounds, the slowdown will limit these mistakes and in turn, make the game closer and give their team a better chance to win. I believe that the only way to counter would be to run fast-paced versus these teams.
