Pitcher on DL question Topic

My #2 pitcher just got injured for 38 HBD days. Counting our All Star break...will be about 32 games missed...something like that.

Can I put him on the 15 day DL...then put him on another 15 day DL immediately after...or do I have to put him on the 60 day DL?

Do I lose a minor league option bringing a guy up and sending him down?

What do you look for in bringing a guy up? My #1 AAA pitcher (overall rating-71)already has come up from AA. He may be my best option (although I have others that are already on MLB salary)...but I don't wan to promoste him and then take a hit for demoting him later.

What do you advise?

He won't come off the 15 until you take him off.

Promote a player and place player on the 15 day DL in the same roster move. Who you decide to call up is up to you.

When your pitcher is healthy, again in the same roster move, remove him from the DL and demote the player you called up to take his place. No demotion penalty.
