He is only considering me. Will he sign?

If he is consdering you, then yes he will sign if no one else takes him away from you.

Even if I havent visited him? I had a guy walk away from my team last year who was only considering me but I hadnt spent much money on.

He walked away after he was considering you, or he signed with a different team?

In all my years of playing this game, if a player is considering you and you have offered him a scholarship, he always signs eventually, unless another school signs him first.

The visits are just used to get the player to consider you, or to battle another coach recruiting the same player. Once the player is considering you, it doesn't matter whether you have visited him or not. I sign players all the time without ever using a home or campus visit.

I dont remember the exact email but he said he just wasnt sold on the program and would try to walk on somewhere. He was only considering me and nobody else up until the end of recruiting, but I had never visited him. He was a guy my AC scouted during the season and I spent very minimal money on him, basically a few calls and offered a scholly. The reason I am concerned about this guy is I have 1 open scholly and 2 offers on the table. If this guy will sign, I want to rescind the offer to the other guy, because the other guy was just end of the bench filler.

i think he'll sign.

and i'd be willing to bet that last time, your guy rejected the scholly, then later considered you, but you never re-offered it.

No, I know for a fact it wasnt rejected. I kept a very close eye on it because it was my last open scholarship. He was only considering me the entire time, so it wasnt a situation where he later considered me.

Looks like he signed, thanks for your quick feedback guys!

I almost never offer visits. I recruit 98% of the time with only promises, calls/letter/coach calls and scouting trips. And a player won't tell you hes going to walk on to somewhere.

I had a guy 2000 miles sign for $120. Offered him a phone call, scholarship, and starting spot. 2 cycles later he was signed.
