Defensive Rating’s Importance Topic

How much does the defensive rating matter in the zone and press? Obviously, it is essential to a good m2m defense, but what is it's importance to the other defenses? From my experience, it has little effect in the press, but when running a zone, is shot blocking equally or more important?

I found my high def guys in press get a lot steals, even with not so great ath.

From what it seems I wouldn't worry too much about DEF. ATH/SPD is way more important than DEF. If its within a couple points like 56 SPD and 53 SPD and one has a higher DEF then go with him.

It might change when they release a new engine but right now DEF is a little underpowered. It helps to have but ATH/SPD is more important.
