Is there an OVR ceiling for D1 drop downs? Do ranked players drop down?

I realize that both questions are somewhat situation specific, but I am wondering if there is some kind of OVR number or ranking to stay away from.

Are you in Division II or I? It won't answer the question but it's a start to know more.

Edit: There's is a cap on the ranked players that will drop or can be brought down for every team/prestige. If you get a back up message you have a chance to get them. If they say they wouldn't go to your school then it's an indication you are reaching to high.

You can get low 180s and the 190s by position but I highly doubt that you will ever see a player with stars drop down.

In D2with an A range prestige, you can get sg/sf up to about 150 in certain years. PG and bigs are tougher. Also check on players within 60 miles of you. They will make exceptions. AS Weena said, no stars though.
