Last summer when I was needing a way around the firewalls at work you guys suggested wisjournal.com. Worked out brilliantly and still does. But now they have blocked facebook recently. Can somebody help with a way around this one?

What are you messing around with that crap at work anyway? Your trying to get to the types of sites that are frowned upon in this down economy when a great many people (including myself) are still looking for work. Just some friendly, and PROFESSIONAL advice - wait until you get home buddy.

I'm sure there are exceptions to just about everything in life. I'm not sure what you do for work that requires the use of that site, but in his case, it was a BLOCKED site. I'm also going to be conservative here and say that 90% of companies / firms frown upon the use of that site during work hours for a reason. Also, in my 10 plus years in a corporate environment since I finished school, I know of at least half of dozen people that were terminated directly as a result of spending time on a blocked site, or simply spending TOO MUCH time on various sites. Again, this is just some friendly, professional advice from somebody with an MBA. Do with it what you want.

I'm guessing by your response that you are a young man (around 18 or so), that doesn't have a whole lot of a "career" under his belt as of yet, and for that matter, a whole lot of perspective. As you gain experience, I'm sure your feelings on this matter will change (as well as your detailed and well thought out responses). GL!

Ok well I asked if anyone could help with this. Not anyone's personal right or wrong opinion on how they view it. Either you can help or you can't end of discussion. Not that it matters but I am 33 and in a position where I have a little more flexibility at work than some. Our problem is that our network is ran through our hub in Germany so we have no control over those things in the states. Its not frowned upon here at our company. So back to the original point, any help here is appreciated. I use my Blackberry but others here in the office that doesn't have mobile access doesn't have that luxury.
