Has anyone else noticed that the traditional top teams get the benefit of the doubt if they are on the tourney bubble?
the extra love seems to be more apparent in the rankings.

Teams with more wins are looked at as better by the seeding/selection committee.

Rankings, after preseason rankings that are based on prestige and your top rated players, are solely based on W-L.

So you're going to get some crossover that ranked teams will get the benefit of the doubt.
