Most freshman on a D1 Championship team? Topic

Storm just won in D1 Tark with 3 freshman (1 RS). Very impressive especially when running the press. When I won it long ago in Tark season 11 w/ 3 freshman (1 RS) but ran M2M and Tri.

Does anyone remember D1 Championship teams with 4 or more freshman ?

Virginia won in Allen last season with five freshmen.

My season 37 Iba La Salle team had 5 freshman running a M2M/press.

Not to throw it off topic too far, but the Tark Final Four was loaded with TONS of young and talented teams.

My squad had just 2 Sr. / 2 Jr. and Chiefs CSU team, IIRC, had just 1 Senior on it. I think he only lost 1 player to EE as well. So him and Storm should be in line for deep runs again.

My Penn State team had 5 freshmen and only 1 Senior.

Of course, we failed to repeat with 5 seniors the next season, which is something that I will bring up to those guys next season when we have our 25th season anniversary of that title.

I just won my first NC in Tark D3 with 4 freshmen(1 RS) and only 2 seniors while running the press...and one of the seniors only had 60 stamina!

With such a young team I should have a decent chance for a repeat.

edit: Mine is a D3 team, just noticed topic says D1
