If a team cuts a player during the recruiting period, does that player show up on the search right away? Or does he show up on the next cycle?

Next cycle. It used to be immediate but at some point it changed I believe.

I just cut 2 players in Wooden. Both appear as transfers with 1 year of eligibility remaining.

edit: I cut them the day before recruiting started.

Incidentally, what is meant by a transfer with ZERO years of eligibility remaining? Seems kind of pointless.
