Playing against a +2 or +3 Topic

My G's are stronger offensively than my bigs. Considering this, when playing against a +2 or +3 "D" does it make more sense to pound it inside or set my guards at -1/-2 and try to have them try to drive the lane?

Your 6'5 pg playing the 3 currently i would set him at a -1, or -2 he doesnt shoot threes worth a crap in his career. Your Sg is a lifetime 40% from three he should be the only guy taking threes. Your centers i would pound inside with them they have some good low post. Try a regular pace with a defense setting at +3. for a game or two.

Pirates, you have no idea what you're talking about here:

Listed height does not matter one bit, it's already factored into the ratings.

This guard has shot almost as well from 3p (38%) as overall (40%) for his career. He also has low ath. Setting him to -2 would be crazy.

Actually, the lp of his centers is quite weak for DI (57-79).

What he plays on defense has no bearing on the question he's asking, and you can't recommend a setting like that without looking at the team he's playing. Beyond that, you can't really tell anything meaningful just from a game or two. And beyond that, he inherited a weak sim team that's very young, and he's right to be playing slowdown.

While I certainly appreciate a willingness to help, no one benefits when you try to answer questions that are over your head and provide consistently bad information.

bdixon, yes, if you are expecting to face a +2 or +3, I would have your guards take fewer 3p's. In those instances I would up the distro of your bigs a little bit, but Halladay and Rivera are still clearly your best players and I would ride them.

Keep in mind you're going to struggle for the next couple seasons no matter what, not your fault, just don't get discouraged.
