in case of a divisional tie, i assume the rules follow those in real life

Sounds like a great reason to schedule the toughest teams that you can beat.

just like RL, nonconf means nothing in determining a conference champ.

this is not true, is it? WIS uses overall record, which is based on non conf performance. unless i am understanding that wrong?

overall record includes NC play, so yes NC play does potentially determine a conference champion
