If you get an e-mail with the title of your school and the following language:

Coach, xxx is awesome! It's just the kind of atmosphere I'm looking for in a school. I doubt the visits I still have to take will compare.


Is this a "scholarship" e-mail indicating you are in the lead or is it a general response for one of your recruiting actions?

If you axe me (and apparently you did), it's more than a general response and less than bankable. With a response like that you should be "considered" but with ALOT of room for it to go either way. Even if no other school is listed yet, the kid is, shall we say, amenable to overtures. If you like him, STAY on him.

This is not a scholarship e-mail. It's a typical campus visit response.
