class limits 9 scholarships Topic

I just took over a school with 9 scholarships. If classes sizes are limited to 6, how would I maneuver in order to not penalize the development of my teams by taking on atleast three walk-ons. Would I take on a 7th player and redshirt him?

you'll need to look at juco players and/or transfers with 1, 2 or 3 yrs of eligibility remaining...

Yeah, there are plenty of jucos/transfers out there. To best help the development of your team, I would try and find senior JUCOS/transfers so that you can raise your prestige..

I would suggest bringing in 4 or 5 juco.transfers at least to help even out your classes.

I just took over a team in the same boat. As the prior posts say, jucos/transfers are your friends. Another thing I'd say is to stick as close to home as is reasonable in order to keep costs down. Also try to avoid battles. I was lucky that I didn't but maybe 1 battle for a recruit out of the 8 I managed to sign.

Yep, you can sign 6 freshman, and then I would try for 3 juniors to balance things out a little. And still keep an empty class....that isn't a bad thing imho.

My team has 9 juniors. Do I have to cut 3.

You may also want to consider filling only 8. It will help to balance the class, make sure you aren't saddle with a stiff and allow you to concentrate your budget on fewer openings. Good luck.
