I took over washington st in phelan last season one of the holdovers from the team is a senior now who was ineligible his freshman season. His GPA is 3.1 so he has done well enough in school so far for a s/5 season. If his gpa is good enough does he automatically come back or is there a chance he could leave anyway? I'm not real good with predicting the nba stuff but i think he's got a shot to be drafted and was wondering if that would play into it as well. Anyone have any experience with this?

At DI, it is the player's option to come back as long as his GPA is above 2.7. If he starts or at least gets decent playing time he probably will return. How well the team does is also a factor. If he is likely to be drafted he will probably opt for that option though. I have had a couple that stayed and at least one I remember that without being drafted.
