I made a preseason trade that has not cleared yet, both parties were under budget when the trade was accepted.

Then I signed a couple of arb players for a couple of million and now I am currenty over my players budget but approx a million.

So the question is....will the trade be nullified because I am now overbudget or does it pass because I was under budget at the time of the trade??

So as long as I transfer cash in the 24 hours after the trade was accepted I should be fine correct?

Just an update for future reference....

As soon as Arb period ended the cash was transfered from my prospect budget to cover the difference automatically

Look at the accepted trade. Expected payroll after the trade goes through and current budgeted amounts will be there. Are you under? If yes, you are fine.

You can use this to tell, so long as you are not making other moves
