Just wondering if anyone out there would be willing to help me out in my first season or two in D1.

I just took over Northern Arizona in Knight (D-) but in what I consider a good low tier recruiting area that has very sparse mid-level teams.

I basically have a few questions about:
Recruiting- What kind of a good borderline for me the first year? 0/1/2 stars?

Boosters- How do you know they will take them as I never used them before.

Scheduling thoughts for low level teams- should I only schedule other Low tier schools and up the win total?

What are some limits on how low a skill can be before being horrible- (is under 40 ATH for PF/C to low even with all 90's in other core areas by his Junior year)

Others can help more but I can comment on two of these. You will have a tough time getting two stars but you might be able to pull a couple down that are close to you. You need to search for high potential one and two star recruits.

I would schedule weak for a couple seasons. That should give you decent win totals and allow for your prestige to go up. That will then allow you to start to recruit the three star guys.

Good thoughts, ya and I know just cause someone is a 2 star does not mean he is better than all 1 stars just a prediction.

focus on ratings - esp core ratings/potential for the position and for your system

in fact, you can get some bargains if others focus on stars - dont think you must get 2 star players - a no star with better ratings and potential is better

be flexible - not every player will be great in all cats - at that level guys will have flaws - find guys who can really help in at least SOME ways and you can build a good roster. Its okay to have one guy who can rebound, play defense, has good athletic but has totally awful LP.....let someone else shoot....
