The Michale Cole Story:
Work got in the way of posting the Cole story sooner, but I owe it to Wiz and the CCAA to tell the story of.
I still love the guy, but the story isn't the same without seeing his ratings. Really just one of a troubled kid who was recruited by ((markshir)) to an under-performing Kansas program and couldn't get his grades up. After being kick out of the program USCLA picks him up at the DII level after winning a recruiting battle with the National Champion U of DC. Lucky for LA the kid grew up in Compton.
Anyway, after 4 years of success with us he finishes up with the scoring title in an underachieving year for the school, but sets the stage for a DI kid with shattered sim-dreams to reengage himself in a DII school and win the POY award. Cole was the topic of many conversations not only in the Conference, but on the national scene as well. His game was even questioned by coaches in parallel universes for hurting the team. The fact is the staff at CSULA were willing to have moderate success that season in exchange for showcasing Mr. Cole.
In the end, he becomes the only kid from the conference to ever play NBA ball and get's drafted early in the 2nd round by the Huston Rockets. As I said in the conference CC he isn't all that high on Yao but is happy to be there!
While attending the National Championship loss, he said that he wouldn't change a thing about his collegiate career and was proud to represent the school. He later in his Sim-Maybach with smoke billowing from the windows...
Good Luck Kid!
