Thanks lostmyth. Interesting, I remember reading several articles last year speculating on Wall entering the draft and later GMs quoted as saying "Calipari stole our player." Guess they were all mistaken.

That is worse than decimated. Decimated is one of the most misused words in English. To decimate means to reduce by 1/10th. It originates from the Roman policy of killing every 10th soldier in a unit charged with cowardice. You can also derive the meaning directly from the Latin in this word.

A better description would be that the roster was "ravaged". This is an underused word that actually fits the meaning better - meaning to "almost destroy". Obliterate also fits, but is a little over-the-top.

I am off my high-horse on misused Latin vocabulary now. :)

You forget that you can recruit a player that will stay for 4 years instead of 1 and he will be better in your system his Junior and Senior year. If you can't play as a team your not going to end up being the best.
