I agree, but this isn't real life and we don't recruit under the same assumptions as real life schools. I've always enjoyed the game theory involved with recruiting. You don't have perfect information and the success of your choice depends on the choices of others. Now, if I no longer have to wonder about how much money a school has put into a player, then that drastically changes everything. And on top of that, not only do I not have to wonder about one individual schools efforts, but I don't have to wonder about any of the schools efforts that are recruiting players that I have FSS information on.
IMO, this takes away from some the strategy involved in recruiting.
