I've never lost a player to grades before. And suddenly I have two senior SGs putting up 1.9s? It's like the Sim just wants to punish me.

Seems to be something going around, at least in Allen.

i think something changed over the past couple months. between my 2 IDs i've played around 100 seasons of HD. I tend to err on the side of caution with regards to grades and I'd never lost a player to grades. however, i lost 2 (one in Naismith and Smith each) in a span of a week recently.

Seems to be much easier to fail off now then it was before. In my first 40 or so seasons I think I had 1 guy fail off, in my last 13 seasons I've probably had 10 games fail off. In Knight I just had a junior fail off who had a 1.7 GPA after the midterm so I gave him 15 minutes of SH and he still only ended up with a 1.9. He had a 2.8 GPA his first 2 seasons. Had another guy fail off in Tark who was getting 12 minutes of SH time afer the midterm. A couple of the failures have been my fault, forgetting to give a guy SH time after he's doing poorly on the midterm but a few times I have given guys a bunch of SH minutes and they still fail off.

I just had a guy in knight flunk out he had a 3.2 for the first 2 seasons then came in at 2.1 at midterm and then 1.9 oops :) Been quite awhile since i had a guy flunk as well. I was giving him about 3 for SH which is 3 more than i usually give a jr with his overall gpa

i have had like 20 guys flunk out in the last 6 months :(

I agree grades have changed but I think is has been longer than the last season or so. I currently have 3 flunkers out of 5 teams. Prior to 6 months ago I had 2-3 total in well over 100 seasons.

And in all 3 cases I actually gave more time than in the past due to the rate of failing I have seen lately.

Cornfused, It happened as well for me at Nazareth back somewhere in mid-season 39 I think. They started playing around with it somewhat, and then went full swing with it in season 40. I was lucky and went heavy on study hall minutes, sometimes in the 20+ minute area and didn't have a guy fail. You use to be able to use the formula of 4.0 - GPA = SH minutes for a Freshman, 3.6 - GPA = SH min for a Soph, 3.2 - GPA = SH for a Junior, and 2.8 - GPA = SH min for a senior. In season 39 I had to switch to 4.0 for everybody (FR, Soph, Jr, & Sr) - GPA = SH minutes, and last season (season 40) while I was still at Nazareth, I had to alter the formula again to 4.0 for everybody - (midterm or final grade/not GPA) = SH minutes, and now this season (season 41) at Shephard in D11 I've had to alter it somewhat slightly again to 4.0 for everybody - (midterm/final grade rounded down to the next even number) + 2 minutes minimum = SH minutes.

I just had two freshman get a 3.8 and 3.3 GPA the first semester. With no change in the study hall minutes at the Mid-term of the second semester they have a 2.2 and 2.4. The other two freshman on the team have dropped as well 3.3 to 2.6 and 3.6 to 3.1.
