I acquired this player in trade: Armando Marquez

He has 2 year of ML service, but he's been in AAA all year, and we've just passed 20 games. If I promote him now, will this be a free year in terms of arb eligibility? Or does having already been promoted to the ML in the past make any future ML service contribute directly to his arb year-count?

No, it will be a freebie. You can play the service time game multiple times with the same player.

I know this question has been asked and answered several times, but I can't find the answer after searching the forums, and I want to be sure - what's the amount of ML time that has to pass to postpone arbitration? 22 games?
