...has totally f'd up Ryan, which is a public world. Most of the good owners are leaving. it has a fantastic blog and my favorite player evar... David Seanez. But the new rules is making a mass exodus. Kind of like what they did to SLB and SLH when they took all the money out of the open leagues.

BTW... Ryan was better than 60% of the private worlds. I probably can't say that anymore.

Curious, what in the faiplay guidelines did anything to hurt public leagues. Im not in any public leagues, so I was looking at them from more of a private league standpoint. But I believe all it does is keep owners from being able to tank. And even then, it has to be reported for action to be taken? Maybe Im missing something.

Tz also said theyd be working to make the top public worlds private. So if Ryan is a top public world it only stands to get better.

I just read the world chat for Ryan, and I see absolutely no reference to "fair play guidelines" issues. One guy is leaving because he doesn't like his trades being questioned, and another is bowing out quietly. Whats the big deal?

Fredo said in a different league, (More Cowbell) that he was out becasue of it.

pullmeafredoHornets4/9/2010 4:14 PMRight, but they've just made it even harder to kick out deadbeats. I view today as something that's going to have a significantly negative impact on competitive levels in everything other than the best of private worlds.
pullmeafredoHornets4/9/2010 4:14 PMI view Cowbell as one of those. I don't see much point in competing in a much lower-level league, be it public or private. I'd rather just spend my credits/money where I'm going to be challenged league-wide.
raucousQ-Tips4/9/2010 4:04 PMfredo, Ryan is public anyway. Except for a couple of whiners, it is still a very good league.

More Cowbell was victimized by KorruptKings. We have been lucky in Ryan. We just get the usual 1 or 2 per season that are in over their heads and just bails on the team.

hardly looks like a "mass exodus."

And as far as public leagues goes, they made it easier to remove owners. And it appears to be easier to remove owners from private leagues as well. As long as the league has their shi* together.
