Now that the Hall of Fame is in play, I'd like to have a better sense of where players stand historically in my world compared with other players, which leads me to....

Why can I only see the Top 5 in career leaders in stat categories? Why can't I choose to see the Top 50 or the Top 500? Seems like this should be very easy to program, and I could see where my players lie in the grand scheme of things, or make certain realizations about HoF candidates by such numbers.

Why can't we get this?

I believe the official response is that it would be too much stress on the servers.

I'd rather be able to look at a players career stats and be able to identify the seasons when they led their league in an offensive, defensive, or pitching category. Putting the number in bold seems like it would be easy to do. Seems that way, but I don't know if it would be hard for WIS to implement.

The reason that this makes little sense is that the Top 5 lists are static. They do not update through out the year. So since it is a snapshot, the additional server usage should be low (they should be running the report once and then storing the info). It might take up some extra memory, but memory tends to be cheap. Leave it as a Top 5 for each team, but top 10 for the world.

I agree, and I see no reason it couldn't be top 10, even for each individual team. This is something that almost every HBD user wants to see happen. I also agree that it SHOULDN'T put additional stress on the servers, but I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere in a dev chat or in the forums that this is the reason why it won't happen.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult for the current and future seasons, but since all the information isn't compiled together any longer it may be difficult to easily find who the 6th-10th players are from previous seasons
