What are your thoughts?

I think Gibbs is the best of them. he'll hopefully hit low 60's vs R

Then I guess Wickman and Hogg. Hopefully Wickman's Control hits a little higher. Hogg I think may be a #5 someday.

Detwiller if his pitches come up a bit may also be a servicable rp

Hammonds #s are good except for control. This is my 1st team so I am not sure how bad that 51 will be.

and Weeks is in the same boat.

Are these projected or current ratings? Even if they're current, I don't know how Hogg could be a #5 starter with stamina that will never reach even 40.

Assuming these are projected ratings, Hogg will make a pretty decent reliever someday, but his pitches will give him problems. Wickman is a mopup man with that 52 control. Gibbs will have a fairly successful career as a 5- or 6-inning starter (I have a pitcher like that with very high control and pitches but so-so splits. You're likely looking at high 3's-low 4's for ERA with quality defense). Hammonds, Detwiller, and Weks are garbage.

Sounds like the numbers are projections. If they're current, all of them are BL pitchers. None are studs but all could pitch on a BL team. Detwiller is probably the worst and Hammonds will probably frustrate you because you'll think he should do better than he does.

Well I agree with MikeT, if they're current then your minor league system is likely stacked (depending on where these guys are in their development). But yeah, look like projected totals to me, otherwise I'm not sure why you'd even be asking about a guy like Gibbs who would be a Cy Young winner.

Bonus advice: Always look at who gives you advice. Someone with no success making definitive statements may not know the difference between garbage and BL pitchers.

Hold on a second. You can't change you mind like that. They're either garbage or BL pitchers. Which is it? And, if you thought you were looking at projections, wouldn't you need to know a little more to start calling players "garbage"?

Gibbs is the best of the bunch. He doesn't have a great vR but everything is good. I wouldn't use him for anything more than a SP5 or a LongA but he is ML calibre in those roles.
