im using this rotation and after the last game i noticed tannehill t 84%
i have him set at 90 110 and a pull 2
relief not checked for any of my starters.
here's his season line:
1902 Jesse Tannehill (L) 12 90.0 75.3 3.46 .311 1.46 3.5 1.7 26 270.0 1.95 .236 0.99 3.9 1.0

how come he's dropped to 84% ?
am i missing the boat here?
i just changed from a 4 man rotation to this 1/2/3a/3b

Did you just use him? It says he'll be at 100% for next game

yes but why would fatigue to 84% after only 90 pictches this early in th eseason and in a 4 man rotation. clearly he is 50 -60 ip below most of the other stud starters ( johnson.maddux/etc... ) in the league

If you hold your mouse over the fatigue level, it will tell you the reason they are fatigued. Most likely it said, 'tired from recent game activity'.

It's projecting use for the whole season based on games played so far, it'll even out as the season wears on.

It's like real life. After a pitcher throws his first start of the season, he's tired. He's not going to be at 100%, even if he's just thrown 90 pitches.

1. 68 games is not early in the season.

2. It's a 3 man rotation as far as Tannehill is concerned

3. He had 124 fewer real life ip than a 1912 Johnson. After almost half a season he should be 50-60 ip behind.

4. I see your league started 3/31, but Tannehill didn't pitch until 4/8. Did you get him off the wire? If so then his innings are pro-rated.

thanks elbirdo
yes i did have koufax in that slot the first 22 games -
it just seems odd that a guy with that many ip would drop from 100-84 in a game when were not even half way yet. whats he gonna drop to the last 1/3 of the season after games?
4/23/2010 1:46 PM
What % do you expect to see in that situation?
4/23/2010 2:09 PM
i didnt think he'd drop below 90 just yet

Hall of Famer

Forum Posts: 3286 Total innings pitched has nothing to do with in-game fatigue. The formula I use to determine my PC is:

IP/G X 15 (others use 16, but I'd rather err on the side of freshness!)

So for 12 Johnson I'd go 7.38 X 15 = 110.7

In which case, I'd give him a PC of 110/115.

-4468 rating... is it so weird?

Mr. Glory, don't worry. Unless you're planning to pitch him back-to-back games, all you care about is when he'll be back to 100%.

4/23/2010 4:12 PM
Ya, I don't know why it would matter if he was 1(100) or 99(100). Weird...

Here, I'll turn this thread into something useful.....if you are using a two man rotation, the most fatigued your pitcher can be fatigued and still return to 100% every game is 66(100) [not counting the first few games]. So, if your guy is 70(100) after games, you can increase his PC by 5 for a while.
Can anybody confirm the fatigue level for 3man and 4man rotations?
