How many innings should my starting pitchers have for 3, 4 and 5 man rotations? Is there a general estimate as far as how many pitchers / innings to have in your bullpen?

total innings is the most important number. you can divide them between SP and RP any way you want by setting pitch counts.

In a AVG park YOU better go at least 1250 Good innings.

generally in the 80-100mil range, i will target around 950-1000 for my rotation (no matter how many guys are in it) and then about 250-350 for the bullpen. the # of guys depends on whether there is AAA or not - if not, then i'll try to go with 6 or 7 relievers just so i have less 200k dead spots.

if there is 6/2 aaa and you want to use them then you really only have 17 spots to work with... meaning 8 hitters and 9 pitchers unless you have platoons.
